GRETCHEN JETER

Gretchen Jeter, 69, daughter of the late Charles Jeter and Edna Mae Jones Jeter, was born on May 22, 1955, in Sumter. She departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at St. James United Methodist Church, 720 Broad St., Sumter, with the Rev. Tameka Milton, presiding, and the Rev. Allen Nesmith, eulogist.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.

Family will receive friends at 3090 Ashlynn Way, Sumter, daily from 3 to 9 p.m.

Job’s Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
